“I am only one, but still, I am one. I cannot do everything, but still, I can do something and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.”
– Edward Everette Hale
25 years ago today, my path as a Massage Therapist began.
Oh the stories these hands could tell….of life and death, of strength and weakness, joy and sorrow, brokenness and healing and everything in between.
I cannot express how incredibly grateful I am that God chose me for this path and how honored I am for every person that has graced my table and entrusted me to their care over these many years. Whether you were with me for one appointment or decades, each experience has been an opportunity for me to learn, grow and be a better therapist and person. Thank you!
I continue to be awed and inspired by the resiliency and intricacies of the human body and the delicate intertwining of mind, body, and soul and how they play upon one another, expressing themselves in our nervous systems and tissues.
I still thrive on creating an immersive, safe experience for my clients – creating for each, their own space to check out, unpack, relax, refresh, or recover and I value the many relationships that have been birthed from our sessions.
Thank you for trusting me with your pain and discomfort and your vulnerability.
I’ve had the immense joy of working with mom’s to be, babies and kiddos.
I never tire of a young one’s first experience with the magic of bodywork!
I’ve experienced the great privilege and deep sorrow that comes with working with end of life.
As difficult as it can be, it is such a special honor to able to bestow tender touch with those leaving this world.
I’ve enjoyed being continually challenged to explore and learn with each condition and disease that finds its way to me – determined to do my part to support, encourage, educate and refer as needed to help my clients find better quality of life.
Thank you – especially to my chronic condition clients- for educating me and inspiring me to be an advocate wherever I can for those who cannot always speak for themselves and for those with invisible conditions that are all too often dismissed and invalidated. You are some of the strongest warriors I know, and you are my heroes!
I am passionate about the benefits of massage and body work for better mental health, and I love helping people become more connected with their bodies in meaningful and positive ways.
Thank you for trusting my touch and allowing me to help you find reconnection and healing within yourself.
I have also loved the challenges of working with my athletes and the ins and outs of the rigorous conditioning, discipline, and drive that you have. I am awed and inspired by you and enjoy helping your body find release and recovery in your endeavors.
If you ask my husband, he will tell you I am healer, but I disagree.
Truly, I am but a facilitator- just a vessel placed on your path to help you find your own healing.
You are doing all the hard work – I am just there to help you find your way by helping your body feel better, which can help your mind and soul feel better.
I am sentimental and silly, focused and distracted, curious and contemplative and I am joyfully committed to many more years of being your bodyworker, your confidant, your safe space and your cheerleader.
Each of you has played a part in making me the therapist I am today – Thank you for being amazing teachers.
Cheers!!
